Brenda Grampsas is an American Quilter’s Society appraiser of quilts and quilted textiles, certified in 2005.  Brenda is a life long seamstress and quilt maker.  Her sewing past includes teaching clothing construction & tailoring in the Adult Education System in Southern California.  She is a member of AQS, The Applique Society and is an active member of two local quilt guilds.  Brenda has a special interest in old quilts and has had the privilege of documenting the quilt collections of Heritage Village, Largo, Florida and St. Petersburg Museum of History, St. Petersburg, Florida.  Recently, she was the curator for a quilt exhibit at the Safety Harbor Historical Museum, Safety Harbor, Florida.

 

Brenda offers a variety of quilt “trunk shows” and lectures to interested groups.  She appraises quilts by appointment and at Quilt Shows. She also teaches youth to sew in classes offered at Christian Outreach Center, Clearwater, Florida, where she and her husband, John, serve as Founders and Co-Directors.  Brenda is passing along the quilting tradition to the next generation
