Anne Copeland is a member of the American Quilter’s Society, Professional Association of Appraisers of Quilted Textiles (PAAQT). She is cofounder of the Repiecers of the Past, a quilt history/quilt restoration study group, and founder of Fiberarts Connection of Southern California, an organization to promote and support fiberartists in Southern California. She is also a member of several local art associations.
Anne has also judged a number of major quilt shows including Pacific International and the National Quilting Association show in Riverside, California, as well as many local shows. She received her certification as a quilt appraiser in 1993, and has continued her studies to maintain her knowledge of the contemporary and antique quilt market and market for wearable art.

She performs appraisals at quilt shows, antique malls, and special appraisal events, as well as for private clients.

Anne serves as a Creativity Coach for fiberartists and other artists. Her workshop, "Self Promotion for Fiber Artists" offers good information for gaining confidence into getting out there, searching out markets, dealing with contracts and agreements, and other business aspects. Her web sites are: http://www.artquiltconsultant.com and http://www.fiberartsconnsocal.org.

Together with Spencer H. MacCallum, Anne assisted with the promotion of artists in the Mexican pottery media since the mid-1970s. Today, Juan Quezada and the Potters of Mata Ortiz are enjoying the reputation and growth of their work, which has been unparalleled since the discovery of Maria and the potters of San Ildefonso, New Mexico.

Anne coauthored a research paper on the development of the kit quilts business published by American Quilt Study journal Uncoverings 1994. She has numerous articles published in various national quilting magazines.
