Pam WeeksPam Weeks Pam Weeks has been making, studying, and teaching about quilts and quilt making since the quilt revival of the US Bicentennial in 1976. In recent years she has added quilt research and appraisal to her avocation, and has studied textile identification, printed textile dating, and appraisal of quilted textiles. In 2003 Pam passed the American Quilters Society exam and is a Certified Appraiser of Quilted Textiles and a member of the Professional Association, Appraiser Quilted Textiles.
She is Executive Director of ABC Quilts, an international not-for-profit organization that makes quilts for at-risk babies and children. ABCQ teaches kids to quilt, combining community service and AIDS and drug abuse prevention awareness.
Pam also serves as vice president of the NH Quilt Documentation Project, and is secretary for the Durham, NH Historical Association. She lives in a little green house on the Mill Pond in Durham, NH with husband Doug and chocolate lab, Coco. Son Ben is a freshman music performance major at Indiana University, Bloomington. None of them is allowed near her quilt collection.
